Is the Insert Image/Video/File option on the Description input field supposed to work? My every attempt results in a message, "The file or URL is not allowed to be inserted."

Hello, I'm not sure I am following what you are talking about. Can you explain maybe where you are trying to do this? On the device?

My bad, Garmin-Leslie. My post should have made it clear that I was referring to this web site, specifically the insert option for the text input field here.

Thank you, so you are trying to import a file into the explore website on the map tab? What file type are you using? Are you doing a track or route?

No, Garmin-Leslie, not the explore web site. I meant the original post to refer to this forum web site. If you reply to this message, you'll see an insert drop-down field below the text field. In the drop-down is an option to insert images. That's the difficulty I was referring to in the original post.

I see, sorry I didn't realize you were referring to the forums page directly. You should have the ability to add images into forums.

Yes, Garmin-Leslie, I know I should be able to add images. That's why I reported the problem. But I think I figured it out. If you past in image into the reply field, it works. What doesn't work is the insert option. If I click on insert dropdown and then choose image/video file and then specify a local file, I invariably get a message specified at the start of this thread.

Just to be sure, you are doing this...

Insert >> Image/video/file >> first click Upload (don't enter anything in the File/URL text box)

then browse for file >> OK.

The upload option is grayed out, sometimes to the point of being hidden
