Title says it all, really.
Why is UTC missing from the list of available timezones for the display?
Can we add it somehow?
UTC is THE timezone. Everything else is just pretending.

Don't own a 67i. On the 66i, at least, Iceland is offset 0.
well, alright... Thank you. I just had to go check the rules for Iceland time, and it is UTC±0 all year (no DST or anything like that), so I CAN use that, but not having UTC as a designated timezone on the device is pretty dumb, since the satellites it talks to all report times in UTC.
HelloBitterDonald UTC is not missing from the list, it has never been there. UTC isn't one thats been listed on any of our handheld units. There is not a way to add timezones to the unit either. I would be happy to submit an experience case for you with this request. Ths does not mean that it will be changed but at least your request would be submitted. I will send you a private message.
That seems exceptionally silly, especially since UTC is available on my Instinct. But ok.
After looking into this further... On Garmin Handheld devices, the UTC time zone is labeled as "Europe - Western."
Umm, OK if Garmin says so. But 0 degrees longitude is in London. I have never seen a time zone map which includes Great Britain with other Western European countries (such as France, Spain, or Germany).
So, the timezone file for "Europe - Western" is UTC±00:00 all 366 days of 2024? No ±1 in March and October?
Don't know about Daylight Savings Time. At least on my 66i, both Iceland AND Western Europe yield the same time of day.
The "Garmin City" which seems to characterize what the rest of us would call Western Europe (France, Spain, Germany, etc.) would be Lagos. This is a sort of necessary evil when you are trying to characterize a time zone with a single city.
Personally, I set the time zone to automatic. This also sets DST to automatic. That way, I see local time wherever the GPS actually IS. (I confess I do not understand why you would want to see local time elsewhere, including UCT/UTC/GMT or whatever you prefer to call it).
For both professional and hobby reasons, I use equipment that is in multiple time zones, some of which is in the field and sometimes changes timezones. It's all set to UTC+0 because local time for the equipment doesn't matter (and would just cause confusion).
UTC is, as its name says, universal.
I can't tell if your use case does or does not need/want the DST adjustment. (I don't even know if DST applies anywhere in the UTC zone.) If you select the time zone manually, you can also select DST on/off/auto. So, if you want it, you can control this manually. OTOH, if you select auto DST, you are at the mercy of whatever Garmin does. And auto DST would almost certainly depend on the location of the device. (Don't know about UTC. There are some zones, even in the US, where "most but not all" of the zone uses DST.)
