Basecamp and 67i?

There are two 67i reviews on Amazon saying the device does not work with Basecamp but without details? Can someone confirm, dispute or elaborate on that? I don't own a 67i. There is a thread here dealing with Basecamp-Mac OS connectivity. Is that the only limitation? Does the 67i work as expected with Basecamp on Windows?

Agreed. It continues to work with Basecamp software, even though it is increasing obsolete software. Too bad their 'modern' software isn't very good at managing tracks and waypoints.

Any issues with Basecamp and the GPSMAP 67 series are moslty on MacOS. Windows seems to be working fine, at least for me and I use both MacOS and Windows with my unit.

Loading maps that are on the device is very slow, but that is to be expected due to the low transfer speed over USB. Copying routes and tracks seems to be working ok.

But then again I do not use Basecamp very often (I use Komoot or Garmin Explore for planning) so there may be some issues I haven't encountered yet.

Probably off topic: The 67i does work with BaseCamp for Mac, after jumping through a few hoops. Initially, BaseCamp would crash, if the 67i showed up at all. I believe that I resolved this by performing a clean install of the latest version of BaseCamp. Then I discovered that MTP mode (required for BaseCamp connectivity) will only work with one app at a time. I set Express to not remain open, and then closed it, and closed Android File Transfer, and then the 67i worked correctly in BaseCamp. I do wish that we could have Mass Storage mode, though...

I confirm that BC works with the 67i on Mac

However and this important: no other software must be connected to the 67i (ie Garmin Express, Android Filetransfer, …)

I still can't connect to BC as soon as I connect to my macbook BC crashes. I have not opened garmin map install or any other program on my mac.

On the Garmin 67 I have Wkiloc and Komoot connected to my iPhone

Which version of BaseCamp do you have? The current version, 4.8.13, was supposed to fix some issues with the newer units.

If this doesn't help, you might need to perform a full uninstall of BaseCamp and then reinstall it. (Search for "Uninstalling Garmin BaseCamp".) You may want to use the Backup feature to save your existing data and then use Restore after you get BaseCamp working again.

I have the latest version 4.8.13 But I try the full uninstall.

I did the full install and did not put back my old files from the backup and still it crashes inmidiatly when I connect my gasmap 67.
