Transferring inReach subscription from 66i to 67i

On the Garmin website, it says to use the app to transfer my inReach subscription. Are they talking about the Explore app on my iphone to make the transfer?

My 66i died today after 3.5 years and I've tried everything to revive it to no avail. I plan on ordering the 67i to replace it. I assume it will be a simple matter to transfer my existing inReach subscription to new 67i ? Any tips?

Alright…so I followed the instructions and used the Garmin Messenger app on my iPhone and didn’t have any problems. Garmin did a good job there.

If you are not sure about whatever you found on the web site, open a support ticket.

Thanks. I’ll try the Messenger app first and see how it goes. Originally, I looked on the website on my laptop and it said “use the app”. I’ve since found this article below. I ordered the 67i earlier this morning. Should be here in few days.
