Using outdoor maps+ with a GPS 86i

Hi,

I've subscribed to outdoor maps + which I use with a fenix 8. It's use is built into the watch menu so is quite easy to use. I've since acquired a GPS MAPS 86i and I'm struggling to download the mapping detail. There doesn't appear to be any interface built into the menu on the handset, anyone got any step by step instructions on how to do this beating in mind I'm a newbie?

The GPSMAP 86i is not compatible with Outdoor Maps+. Collections are used for user data such as waypoints, courses, and activities, not maps. You can sync user data from the Explore app to your GPSMAP…

I don't think the GPSMAP 86i supports Outdoor Maps+. The GPSMAP 86i is not listed in the Compatible Device tab on the Outdoor Maps+ product page.

But the 86i is compatible with explore. I can load All trails maps to Explore and onto the 86i. Explore is able download maps from outdoor maps but I can only see the ones that are contained within 'collections' on thd 86. All I need to know is to how to save a maps ive created into a collection and it will br visible on the 86i. Just cant see how to do it?
