how to use iphone 15 as a keypad for garmin gpsmap 66i. I have bluetooth paired but cannot find where to open the Garmin device to receive phone message (to type the message from the phone)

Do you mean for sending inReach messages? You can do this with the Garmin Explore app or the Garmin Messenger app. In case of Messenger app be aware that this app will "hijack" the mobile number so that any inReach message sent to that number will end up in Garmin Messenger app, and not in the regular SMS app on the phone.

If you are looking for BT HID device functionality, the inReach devices do not expose that interface. The BT pairing is really only useful with proprietary Garmin apps such as the ones JungleJim mentions.
