why are the points I download in QGIS all in the sea!!

I have reset the device, full battery, let it find the satellite. Go and plot my points... when I upload them to QGIS half of the points are in the sea...

Hello, I am not sure what QGIS is but I am assuming its a third party program or website. Have you reached out to them to inquire about the issue? If you load the points to explore.garmin.com to the map do the points do the same thing?

Are you sure your coordinate system is set right in both your device and QGIS? Sometimes that's the sneaky culprit behind point misplacements.
