What is "Tracks on map" setting?

The Tracks On Map setting allows you to set how much of the current activity recording (electronic breadcrumb trail) is being shown on the map.

1. Touch  to open the Map page.
2. Touch .
3. Touch Tracks On Map.
4. Touch the desired option.
   • For example, if 5 minutes is selected, only the last 5 minutes of the current activity recording will be displayed.
     NOTE: The current activity item also needs to be toggled on to see the current activity recording."

Does that affect the 'trac bak' ability? Like, if I select 5 mins, does that only show the last 5 mins walked as a trac bak. I must say I am a bit confused regarding using hiking tracks and choosing the right recording options. 

it shouldn't impact TracBack functionality because that is managed on the GPSMAP itself, not in the Explore app.
