I want to display Time of Day in HOURS: MINUTES: SECONDS

How can I do that?

did you set it to 24hrs display?

Time Settings

twice to open the main menu.

Time

Time Format

: Sets the device to show time in a 12-hour or 24-hour format.

Time Zone

: Sets the time zone for the device. The

Automatic

option sets the time zone automatically based on

your GPS position.

Daylight Saving Time

: Sets the device to use daylight saving time.

I have not yet purchased the 79sc.

I assume that the 12-hour format would show 4:15 and the 24-hour format would show 16:15...but the question is whether either format shows SECONDS...for example 16:15:30

If yes, what are the menu sequences that will display HH:MM:SS?

Software looks the same as the GPSMAP 66i / 67. If that’s the case, you should be able to display time of day with seconds with one of the two following ways:

- on the Trip Computer make sure you have a page with a large data field (data field uses full width of screen), and use the Time of Day data field in this large data field

- on the Map page, enable the Large Data Field dashboard and select the Time of Day data field

Getting the time in the status bar to display seconds is not possible afaik.
