Question about 9.50 update

The list just posted of improvements in ver. 9.50 looks good. What does, "Added support for upgrading from inReach Presets to Check-Ins," mean?

These are still legacy preset messages. You can also edit the text. When you "upgrade" (hint - don't do it) you will have 3 "check-in" messages. Each will have fixed text. And all 3 will have the same…

'Preset' and 'Check-In' are not the same thing.

Sorry for long delay, been out in the woods!

1) You execute the switch from within the Messenger app. The software update makes the 66i compatible to the app. I described how to find the "switch" within the app previously. 2) No change to rate structure. Preset messages are free under all plans, and so are check in messages.

Another issue that isn't very visible, is that the Messenger app does not support Quick Texts. If you have the Explore app and the Messenger app, and you try to send a Quick Text through Explore, it will trigger the Messenger app to initiate and there is no Quick Text option. You have to send Quick Texts from the device itself.
