Why does the 66i, keep calculate my route?

I have downloaded a route I have made in basecamp to my 66i. But the 66i alters the route. And ask me for shortest time, distance..

Is it possible to download a route, without the 66i recalculates it?

If you want the 66i to provide you with navigation instructions while you are following your route, it will have to calculate the route.

If you don't need active navigation instructions, you should save the file as a track on the 66i, if Basecamp provides for that. If Basecamp doesn't provide for that, you can import the file into the Explore website, and import it as a track and then synch with the 66i.

This likely has to do with the type of routing you chose. It may also depend on the installed maps.

Export the Route from BaseCamp already calculated for the method you desire. Do not export the Route from BaseCamp with 'Direct' routing enabled.
