Tracking points between Garmin 66i units.

My son and I hunt different areas and want to keep an eye on each other while we hunt. Can we share tracking between units automatically (like every 10 minutes)? It’s a safety thing for me to know where he is at all times without relying on him sending me a tracking point manually . I won’t have internet signal so can’t use mapshare to track him so I need to be able to track him from my 66i unit

can anyone help ?

I believe you can do something similar with a professional account. The feature is not available on personal accounts AFAIK.

This is exactly what the Garmin Rino series are designed for.

as advised by prof support, this feature would work with 66i, provided they are on per byte plan account and not on any of the new lump sum planes

To set it up this way, it should be arranged by sales dpt

the communication needs to go via Iridium, the amount of traffic not predictable, so I understand it will need to be paid exactly for the traffic created
