sync takes 4.5h

I had kind of a mission, 7 days, some moving hours every day. In expedition mode, 10min IR tracking interval.

After that week, I came home and started to sync the 66i with the phone. This took more then 4.5h.

Is this normal?

My old Delorme takes just seconds to do the same thing.

Depends. If you were also recording an activity (logged track points as opposed to the sent iR track points), and if the logging interval was short, there were a lot of points on the device. In general, sync times with the Explore app are pretty poor when there is a lot of data. I've never seen one take 4.5 hours - but I've never had 7 days worth of data to sync.

This was just a normal mission which can be expected under normal operation. Our teams are out for something between 1 and 3 weeks. It was in expedition mode, so the number of log entries seems to be kind of automatic there.

After a week work outside with no internet, there is some amount of data.

It seems that the first 3.5h were just transferring data to the phone and the it took other 1h to transfer it to explore.

Old Delorme device does this all in less then 1 min.

It is getting more and more difficult to use 66i in real world.
