Teach me, ive had these things since the 90s and never am able to navigate anything useful other than writing the gps coords onto paper for later use. this things been now I cant even update it

I can barly turn this on. Ive used garmin since the 90s. never been able to do anything with it. please make this not a paperweight.

Unfortunately, the user manual is reference material, rather than tutorial in nature.
