I have the 66i and am going to hike the Pennine Way in the UK, what topo maps would you suggest to add to my Garmin (with trail detail). I purchased the TopoActive Europe and it doesn't even show the town of Edale in England. Thanks for the help.

You might check into OSM maps for the area.
Thank you. I just looked and they have the "Garmin GB TOPO PRO - GB v2 Full 25k, 50k, 250k," but that is about $460!
Not sure where you're looking. OSM maps are free. There are a number of download sites for Garmin versins. This one is my favorite.
My bad - I was looking at the Ordinance Survey Maps (OSM) from England, not the Open Street Maps (OSM) you referenced. I'll check those out. Thanks again!
Hi, there's a very long delay in getting the openstreetmap.nl map at present.
Try https://alternativaslibres.org/en/index.php I find these excellent. Includes topo as well. The service is exceptional too - I needed Mongolia for a motorcycling customer riding from Morocco to Vladivostok so paid 30 Euro and had a map a few days later.
My fault. It is Great Britain - should have realized the possible confusion.
For the 66i, we are using maps from:
https://garmin.opentopomap.org
they are somewhat bigger in volume then other similar, but have lot of details and are also routable.
On the 66i, I have to select to show less details under normal operation. I have also tested to take 64GB card, format to FAT32 and fill it with those maps. Works perfect.
Thank you. Are these downloadable to a Mac too (for the program data)?
those are just normal garmin .img files, you can download them where ever you want. It is just a website where you can select them and download as any other files.
