With Trip Recording set to "During Activity", after finishing recording an activity and resetting, all the trip values are reset including the "Total Ascent" as shown on the Altimeter page. Yet while the reset of the data values remain zeroed until the next activity recording is started (ie. honouring the "During Activity" setting) the "Total Ascent" starts to accumulate regardless as to whether an activity is being recorded or not.
This means that unless you remember to do another manual reset just before starting your next activity that the total ascent shown on the altimeter will be out of sync with the total ascent of your in-progress activity, unlike the rest of the similar trip computer values.
Must be a bug..?
