TLDR; activities/recordings being saved including the time between them being stopped and subsequently saved as part of the activities "elapsed time" (ie. start to save, regardless of when it was stopped).
Seems to be a bug in the recording of elapsed time after pausing/stopping.
Demo 1: start recording from map screen by hitting ENTER (twice), stop activity 30 seconds later by hitting ENTER (twice);
= pop-up screen shows a "time" of 30 seconds (correct), an "elapsed act. time" of the same (correct, although sometimes +/- a second) so everything looks as it should;
Now marvel at these wonderful stats for 20 seconds then hit the save option;
= an activity is saved but with an elapsed act. time of 50 seconds, ie. it has included the time between stopping the activity and saving it?!?!
Demo 2: as above, though this time stopping/pausing then restarting the activity several times for breaks;
= the activity should be recorded with an elapsed time of from when it was started to when it was last stopped (ie. including the breaks where it was paused, after all time doesn't stand still), though instead it again includes the additional until the activity is saved.
Demo 3: this can be seen in action from the Recording Controls screen - even when an activity is paused the "elapsed act. time" continues to tick away - I guess technically this is correct although I've never seen a device show this like this before, depends on whether you consider the activity either paused or stopped (same manual control for either), the problem being when the activity is saved then any time after the final stop should be discarded.
Demo 4: start activity, 3 hour hike, stop activity, hour drive home, get round to hitting save = recorded tracks for 3 hours worth of hiking (correct), yet the elapsed act. time shows as 4 hours (not correct).
..or am I missing something?
