Yes, it does that. Every. single. time. Everybody hates it, but TPTB seem to think they know better than the actual user.
Thanks, Twolpert, for the confirmation. I don't think it's a big deal. But I agree, software publishers should not use the install authorization as license to make undisclosed changes in user settings.
Similar to how smartphone apps change user configured background usage and notification settings to default every time they are updated, I find this behavior to be deceptive at best. And quite annoying.
