Hey everyone have had my garmin 66i for 2 days now. And I was getting some birds eye view then the device turned off by its self. And now when I re boot it, in the loading map screen it flashes white then turns off. I can't get past the loading map screen. Whats going on, thank you

Hey everyone have had my garmin 66i for 2 days now. And I was getting some birds eye view then the device turned off by its self. And now when I re boot it, in the loading map screen it flashes white then turns off. I can't get past the loading map screen. Whats going on, thank you

Sounds like a recent file may be corrupted, preventing a proper boot sequence. Since you were just loading BirdsEye maps, perhaps connecting the device to your PC in Mass Storage Mode and renaming the 'BirdsEye' directory to something like 'BirdsEye-Skip' then rebooting and see what happens? If all goes well, one of the BirdsEye maps are corrupted, likely the most recent time stamped map. Remove it and rename the directory to 'BirdsEye' and retest again....
