GPSmap 66i keep turning itself off

My GPSmap66i keep turning off, anyone experiencing the same problem, or know the reason for this? Any help is highly appreciated !!

The problem started after syncing routes via Basecamp. Have tried deleting all routes and waypoints again, but not helping...

I've also seen accessing the BirdsEye images crashing the device.

So it stays up long enough to delete things from the UI on the 66i? Or are you connected via USB to a PC?

Assuming it stays up for a while after you power on, what did you do right before it "shut off"? The reason I ask is that I suspect it might be crashing rather than powering down normally.

Turned out it was the satellite images that was causing the problem, after deleting the one that was in progress downloading then the problem disappeared.

Garmin online support helped helped finding the issue! :-)

Hi, unfortunately I'm having the same problem but mine turns off before I'm able to reach the menu... how're you able to delete the file?

Attach the unit to the PC with the USB cable. This should mount the device as a removable USB "drive". Use Windows Explorer to locate and delete the file. Unplug and reboot the unit.
