Grid reference

Hi I have a 8 figure grid reference that I want to add as a location. On the location page it's set up for a 10 figure reference. Can this be changed to 8 or even 6 figure.

What User Grid and Position Format are you using? Can you fill with zeros at the far right?

If you are talking about the Great Britain Ordnance Survey grid, you can pad the easting and northing you have with trailing zeroes. You must, of course, split the 8 digits into 4 and 4, add a zero to each, and recombine with the alphabetic square identifier to get the correct reference.

I am not aware of any way to change the precision which the unit uses.

Thanks for the help I'm using the os grid have tried it with the zeros and it works thanks again
