Garmin 66i New Device Update

Hello everyone, new owner of a Garmin 66i here. Has anyone. Attempting to update the new device gets the following error. Verified local and network firewalls are not in the way and Wire shark sees Garmin Express reaching to Garmin's site. Garmin support says wipe the device and try again but wonder if there is an issue on Garmin's side as the express app does not even begin to download updates before showing the error.

I have not seen this problem. If you suspect connectivity issues, it might be worth trying from a different computer (in a different network environment, such as home rather than office or whatever). Also possible that it was a transient issue on the Garmin end. If retrying does not help, following the instructions from Garmin support is the best bet.
