66i Syncing present Messages

So I have been trying to sync my preset messages for Custom to the inreach side of things, I cant seem to get it to sync, I follow the instructions and even with the Explore app, it just doesnt want to load up my custom Message.

Any Help greatly appreciated

The only thing that occurs to me is that the app might not be logged in to the proper account?

The other thing to try is making a small change to each message and then sync again. For example, add an extra period to each. This ensures that the web site thinks there is a change worth syncing.

I have the same problem and have been forced to give up after trying all documentation I could find.

so far I am slightlly on different situation as I have a prefessional acc her, but I had the same problem. I did full reset of 66i, setting up my preset msg and destinations etc. and then activated the 66i again.

See Garmin-Andrew's post above. At present, Garmin-Leslie has taken Andrew's place.

Using explore APP worked (after many minutes). Using Express on MacOS did NOT work. The Garmin site "Items that Sync Through Garmin Explore App" does not list "Presets" as something that transfers. (but it does)

This issue happens to me on both In Reach Mini and on the 66i... Neither syncs with Garmin Explore and messages can't be updated.

currently preset messages are fixed unless you have a professional account, then you can change them and sync the change to the device

First off do you have presets or check in messages? If you created an account after Sept. 27/2022 you have check in messages and they can’t be changed or if you had an account prior to that date with presets, but were tricked into converting them to check in messages by Garmin, those can’t be changed either. Now if you’re just having problems syncing. Have you signed out of the messenger app? That messes up my sync from the explore app if I’m signed into it. Also you can sync from the account tab in the explore app as well, and from the Garmin explore website too. Last resort try reloading the explore app., but like I said sign out of the messenger app before syncing.

Hello, there are two places to sync your device and account together in the explore app, one from devices, and one from account. Both are listed with steps in the following article Syncing the Garmin Explore App. I would recommend trying that and making sure you are connected to the correct account in the explore app as well.
