follow track and simulatiously record track

Hello, I will follow a track from someone on a hike next week, but also would like to record my own one for the record. Is it possible to have both these functions running next to each other? I was thinking of using the expedition mode for three days. If I turn the device off over night, will it continue with the same track next day on booting?

Yes to all your questions. There are a couple of different ways to load your friend's track. And there are four or five steps to controlling which recorded tracks are displayed. And there are different ways of getting your track out of the 66i. And yes, the 66i can (and I believe by default does) pick up where it left of tracking when it's turned back on. In case there are settings that would make that last point untrue, you can easily check it before you leave.
