I was wondering if the 66i had the capability of pairing with the wearables like the Fenix / Descent just like the inReach mini?
Or is it a feature exclusive to the inReach mini due to it's size?

From the Garmin site, it does not appear that this feature is supported. The unit has ANT+ and there are a number of compatible accessories (heart rate monitor, cadence, etc.) listed. But no mention of pairing with a wearable. Oddly, the site does list the fenix 5S+ (and only the 5S+) as a "compatible device". No idea what that means. Nothing in the online user manual, either.
Also took a quick look at the REI site, which apparently has a temporary exclusive on the device. No sign of this feature there, either.
I can try this out. What functionality does this pairing provide?
I think there should be a inReach remote app/folder, but this functionality isn´t (yet?) available on the device.
Not currently available on the device, even with the 3.0 firmware. There is no way to tell just what functionality it would provide. If it were similar to the Mini paired with an F5, it would provide tracking status and statistics, the ability to send preset messages, and (IIRC) the ability to read received messages.
