Brand new Garmin Z82 wont turn on

Hi all

Purchased a brand new Garmin Rangefindr Z82, straight out the box and plugged it into charge, the blue light comes on and have left it to charge for a day and it wont turn on? blue light stays on when its unplugged but will not turn on however?

please assist.

    Hold the power button located closest to the viewfinder for 20 seconds > Then release > Then briefly hold the power button while looking through the viewfinder and you should see the Garmin logo appear on screen with the device operation resuming functionality now that the device is out of standby mode. 

    If you continue to have concerns with the Z82, please contact Garmin Support so they can get more detail on the issue, guide through steps to troubleshoot, and can then offer further solutions as needed with you.

    I am having the same issue right now and I will be travelling soon. I seriously do not know how this happened. I first tried to charge as it did not work hoping that it would turn on. Eventually it does but after the garmin logo and saying “loading maps …” it turns off. 

    please assist and solve this problem. Thank you
