Why has the post "successor-to-the-approach-z82" been removed?

I have replied In this Golf> Approach Z82 forum with the title: "successor-to-the-approach-z82" on 10 March 2024 and now on 12 March 2024 the whole post has been silently removed.

In this post we mentioned some issues with the Z82 we as users experienced, hence the question if there will be a new improved device or better yet a software update addressing those mentioned problems.

I am not sure the reason why the post has been removed by the Admin.

Maybe Garmin-Cody or any other Garmin Admin can reply why it has been removed?

P.S. I will make backup copies of my forum postings from now on for historical purposes.

I replied to it.

He asked if there would be a successor of the Z82?

I replied that i want this also because i hope to see some improvements of shortcomings of the Z82 laser rangefinder.

I'm a moderator. I was able to locate it. I was the person that removed it. Here's why. The OP copied the thread from reddit - Successor to the Approach Z82? : Garmin (reddit.com)

This is common for spammers that simply come back later to insert spam links, which is exactly what happened (see screenshot with link highlighted below). The thread was flagged as spam by 4 forum members that "reported as abusive." I reviewed the post and removed it from forum view.

OK. Great you explained it to me!

I did not know that.

I also do not want spam encouragement and try to report actively when possible.

Maybe remove this post then also as unnecessary clutter in this case.

Unfortunately, since the spam post was the thread starter, there's no way to remove it and leave the responses intact. Thread removed and account can no longer post on the forums.
