Finding a pin without playing a round?

I was just wondering whether the Z82 could be used just to get a distance to a pin without playing an actual round.  I often check distances to flags at my local driving range.

  • The Z82 does not have an option to move a pin around for green view to view pre-loaded map distances to a spot on a layout of the green. The only way to view the green is through the actual lens when on the course lasering the flag on the green for the position the grounds-crew set it for that day.

The Approach Z82 can preview default front, middle, and back distances for courses that are nearest to your location. You can take the Z82 outside from anywhere with the sky directly above you and start a round. Then the unit will load the nearest courses > Select a course from the list that appears > Then Z82 will display the default course map yardages to the front, middle, and back of the green from the tee box that was selected.
