Hole view stopped working during the round

I purchased the Garmin Z82 a couple of weeks ago and used it for the second time today.  On my first round it worked as advertised.  On today's round, the device worked normally for the first 12 holes, but then the hole view was gone for the rest of the round.  The only thing it would do is laser the flag.  No additional hole information.  Is this because the device couldn't figure out what hole I was on?  Should I have manually tried to advance to the correct hole?  Thanks for your input.

  • The Z82 should be automatically transitioning to the next hole. You can change the holes manually during the round from the hole view screen:

    1. Select Up or Down buttons to open the menu.
    2. Select Change Hole.
    3. Select an option.

    This isn't something you should have to do. I would suggest making sure your device is up date:

    You can also try resetting the device. 

    1. Select Settings > System > Reset
    2. Select an option:
      • Select Reset Default Settings to reset all of the device settings to the factory default values and save all user-entered information.
