System Software 25.11 approach s70 not recording rounds

Since November 25 (software version 23.20), golf rounds are no longer recorded. Fit. files are empty. You can still see the scores in the golf app. The latest software update should solve the problem. Unfortunately. After 2 rounds it no longer works. According to Garmin service, the problem is still receiving full attention. I don't believe it. So a watch costing 700 euros is not doing well. When will Garmin take the problem seriously and solve it?

Any updates on this? I’m having the exact same problem. Go to view the round afterwards in the app and it’s not showing as an activity, GPS not tracked, unable to sync with the laptop and Strava etc.

Please, please Garmin fix this. It is appalling that it has taken you this long. Many users, particularly those that like to track their heart rate, want the golf rounds recorded as an activity as well.

Garmin customer service continues to claim that their software team is working to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, customer service no longer responds to my questions. I have the impression that Garmin is not prioritizing this problem because it concerns a niche group of users. After all, most golfers will only be interested in the golf data. Maybe the next software update will solve the problem.

Contacted Garmin support again. Solving the problem appears to be a high priority. If it is not resolved, I will request a refund of almost 700 euros.

I emailed support when I first had this issue and was told this wasn’t a known problem and I must be doing something wrong.

Until I then copied and pasted links to two discussions on this forum with other users having the same problem, highlighting that it’s clearly not just me, and was then told yes they’re aware of this problem there’s an open case regarding it and it’s being investigated by the engineers.

I’m not optimistic of it being resolved any time soon.

Strangely enough, the watch records activity again on the 4th round after the last hard reset. So first 2 rounds yes, 3rd round not and 4th round yes. I don't understand it anymore. I wonder if activities will always be recorded from now on.

Helaas is er ook in de 5e ronde weer geen registratie van de activiteit, maar er is wel een scorekaart. Garmin, doe hier iets aan!!!!

We are currently investigating an issue with symptoms similar to what you are reporting. At this time, we are gathering information for our engineering team while they try to find the cause of the issue so we can get a fix in place.

I presented the problem to AI. And AI suggested a possible work-around. Just before the round I turn the watch off and then back on. I also turn recording activities off and on. Watch now records both golf card and activity.

Wait before looking at the result. First check Garmin Connect and then the Golf app. No idea why it worked.

Hello. Yes I have to turn my watch off and back on again to get it to somewhat reliably record the activity data each time. On the odd occasion it still doesn’t work. Having to restart the watch before every round though clearly isn’t satisfactory.

is there any update from Garmin on the possible cause of this issue or a potential fix? Given this has been happening since November to me personally now we’re approaching month 6 of quite a major fault with no updates in sight
