What’s on your wish list for the next generation golf watches?

2026 could be our year. This is would I would love to see:

51mm Option, 1.5 or 1.6 inch screen, all black, no red accents

What’s on your wish list?

    • Oh, and I have another one. A super sensitive CT20 sensor for putters to finally collect strokes gained.
  • I'd like a watch as good as my S70.

I'd like the data, mapping and app to escape the 1990s.

    or

Maybe have data collection, presentation outsourced to Shot Scope.

  • Don't need a new watch.... just need Garmin to do a better job with collecting and analyzing the data.  Would love better data and analyzing like Arrcos or Shot scope.  Currently our data really doesn't do anything to analyze our strengths and weaknesses.  A LOT more could be done to provide a comprehensive analysis.  Instead we just get basic information that doesn't tell us a whole lot.  We need a complete re-do of the Garmin golf app and the analysis of the data.  Not new hardware.  That's my wish list.

  • could not agree more with this. I switched to Gamin from Shot Scope and while the watch is superior to the Shot Scope X/G5, the Garmin app is next to useless from a strokes gained/ analysis perspective.  Expanding on the post, I'd like to add that the app should also 1/  be able to make use of putting data - as of now  tagging putts  does not provide any real value as the app does not use putt locations for putting analysis, and 2/  record penalties (OB/white stakes, Red stakes) and correctly use the penalty data for club distances, scores and shots gained.

  • Ability to get accurate putting data by using CT10 sensors and GPS data to mark putting location. I know that GPS accuracy is likely within 3-4 foot range, but it is still more useful and could be adjusted as needed. Also, if one person marks the pin for the day, then it could be an option to push the pin locations out when loading the hole map, thus saving everyone from having to mark the same pins. Then at midnight, have the pins set back to center of green to reset until marked by someone the next day. This is what Arccos does and it is much smoother. You walk up to the pin and hit "mark pin location". Easy, done.

  • There was a huge thread about this years ago with plenty of excellent suggestions, and Garmin didn't implement any of the suggestions, then eventually locked it. I left for another platform with strokes gained data and club sensors long ago.

  • The watch is fantastic already - sure it can be even better, but the main issue is the Garmin golf app, which is sadly very lacking. Watch software updates are regular and provide minimal improvements - move those resources across to the Golf app, it needs serious work......

Arrcos and Shot scope are currently miles ahead with how the data is analysed.

  • It wouldn’t matter. Even if you mark putting locations the garmin golf app is the missing link that needs the upgrades to view the data more effectively.

  • So true. Endless posts with suggestions from hopeful Garmin owners. I've seen nothing new show up from Garmin when related to data, data analysis, strokes gained, etc.

Same as others, I use other products for golf data now. Still use Garmin watch as it is a solid watch and does many non golf tracking that I enjoy.

Would I get another Garmin golf watch? Probably not. Very little golf value to me so not worth the cost.

    Too bad.
