Double tap to mark hole location doesn’t work

Hello, after 22.06 update double tap function stopped working. The next update 22.07 didn’t fix it. So is it a bug or am I missing something?

Are seeing the confirmation on the screen showing "putt location marked" after double tapping the upper right side button when the watch is zoomed into green view while you are standing on the green?

Or are you seeing the alert for putt location showing marked on the watch...but not seeing the putts displaying on your scorecard after syncing the round over?

It is not about putts marking. It works.

It's about the current flag/hole position.

I used to double-tap the display when I removed the flag from the hole to mark the current position. Now, a double tap just activates manual flag positioning.

Updated September 15, 2025:

Single Tap for marking putt location and double tap for marking flag location should still be operating as expected after the software changes released from 22.06 and on the latest version of software for the Approach S70 (22.07).

Edited: Initial verified response has been edited to correct the original steps that were outlined for using the flag marking feature. The initial response outlining using the touch targeting function in view while on green to move the flag has been changed to: Double tapping the action button for marking the flag.

Playing a round now and both features are working - action button to mark putt and double tap on screen to mark flag location

So after single tapping the Action key when on the green, you are seeing the "Putt Location Marked" and then when you double-tap the action key on the green you are seeing another alert showing "Hole Location Marked" or "Flag Location Marked" ?

Yes that's correct for the putt. One press on the action key.
To set the flag location you double tap the screen (not the action key)

Thank you! The double tap works when the display is on and in Green View mode. I thought it worked with the black display, and there was a vibration response. It was probably my fault.

I have had a tough time with this but will try again on my epix 2 which I believe also has this feature. To be clear I need to follow these steps.

1. Get on the green and make sure watch is showing green view.

2. go to the pin stand next to it and double tap the screen to mark the pin location

3. at that point a message should pop up that states "Hole location Marked"

4. Then go to the ball on the green and single tap the action button to mark the ball location

Is that all correct. I would like to get this added. Love the watch and on course performance but the info on the portal is extremely lacking
