Body Battery

The body battery function on the watch.

Can there be consistent mis-reads?

I work long hours, and sleep very few hours.

Upon waking, my AM read on the body battery is ~25.

By 10AM it is 5, and stays at 5 all day.

I had my teenage daughter wear my watch over the weekend. She sleeps ~8 hours/day, and is overall pretty relaxed. Her readouts were similar to mine.

Is it possible that the scanner/reading function of the watch is compromised?

  • Personally I think the Body Battery function is fundamentally flawed and makes no sense compared to how I actually feel. I would just ignore this function.

  • I love the body battery, but it's not perfect. I wish it read below the 5% marker.
It gives light as to why some days you perform more fluidly, and struggle others.
We live in a stressed life, so become accustomed to being exhausted, but function nonetheless.
My take is to set my expectations of performance on the course predicated on it's readings.
Now, I run at 5% from 9AM on most days- the BodyBattery. The days I'm above 20% I feel/see the difference in my performance.
I've lived with 3 hours sleep/night for over 30 years. High stress job etc.
So, I've learned what I need to do to optimize my function while golfing and I believe that the BodyBattery objectifies what otherwise is a subjective interpretation.
