Course Name not recorded

Hi, when I record a round of golf, my IQ app doesnt record the NAME of the course.I have to edit the round ..

why wouldnt it record the name of the course your playing

  • If you are using 3rd party content from the Connect iQ Store, support is available from the developer on the download page for the content, through the "Contact Developer" option to find more answers to using their content.

  • Unfortunately it's not a 3rd party app..

I played 9 holes of golf tonight, within my Garmin connect app it was only recorded as county Dublin golf and not the name of the course.

However,if I go into my Garmin golf app it then DOES show the name of the course (along side all the stats for example)

So the issue lies with the Garmin connect app and not a 3rd party developer.

  • The Connect mobile app does not display the activity recorded along with the scorecard with the exact club name for the golf course by design. It displays the area you played the golf round in for the activity.

  • Why though...that makes no sense....whatever about not displaying the scorecard, surely it would make sense.to display the name of the course played.....

  • The activity recorded separately just gives general information regarding the distance, timeframe, location, steps, and some other information. It is not golf informative. The activity gets labeled just like a run, walk, or other outdoor activity using GPS... as they all show the location where the outdoor activity is recorded.

You have the option to rename the activity if it is important for you to have the golf course name in Garmin Connect. All golf related features are located in the Garmin Golf app.
