Map sync failed

Hi, I have been having a persistent problem when trying to update the course maps over WiFi using the s70. It gets to about 95% of the download and then I get a map sync failed error. I thought originally this was due to using hotspot from my phone but I have now tried 2 other connections via proper WiFi. I have been unable to download any map updates in the 6 weeks since buying. I do not have a computer to try via that route (I do have a work computer but it’s very unlikely it will let me download Garmin express as it is very locked down)

can any one advise a way to download the updates

Same issue here....very annoying!

Garmin will inform you using Garmin Express... Asked them to sent a laptop over to me :)

Garmin express is a computer programme that needs downloading isn’t it? Surely Garmin need to fix this so the watch can be used independently of a computer. It’s not advertised that you need a computer to use this watch….

Hi, I have been reporting this problem for over a year. It used to work properly via OTA, now it doesen't. The only thing they say is to use the Garmin Express software. They are clearly incompetent to fix the bug!

Does anyone from Garmin care to comment on this issue? Unless it is fixed those of us who can’t easily get Garmin express cannot update…. Isn’t there a Garmin Cody who offers advice on here?
