Wrist setting on watch if wearing watch on different wrist on and off course

Hi, I have just got an S70 and had a question about which wrist to wear it on. I am left handed but play golf right handed. I read somewhere it shouldn’t be worn on your dominant hand when not playing golf. I am fine to wear it on my left wrist when playing golf and on my right wrist when not playing. However, in the settings when I set it up it asked which wrist I wear it on, which will be right off the course. Do I need to change the wrist settings over to left on the watch when I play golf?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • During rounds of golf, the watch must be worn on the lead wrist (left wrist using right-handed clubs...right wrist if using left-handed clubs) and the Wrist setting must also be specific to the wrist the watch is actively being worn on, so the physics of movement are tracked corrected per the design of the watch using accelerometer and gyroscope sensors to accurate detect steps, and shots per the movement from left/right wrist.

If the S70 throughout the day is being worn on the right wrist, and then during golf rounds is being worn on the left wrist...the Wrist setting will need to be set appropriately by opening Settings > User Profile > Wrist to enable to correct setting when you switch arms.

If the watch is not worn on the lead wrist per the left/right club type being used...or if the Wrist setting on the watch is not set to the wrist the watch is being worn on...the watch will not detect shots accurately as designed.
