Scorecard History -- CT10 Sensors & S70

I have been a Garmin user for many years and I have many scorecards.  Of course, not all the scores are correct per hole and some shot averages will be out.

I will be getting a full set of sensors this weekend.

Should I remove all of my historical data and start fresh?

And also, how do you handle chipping out form behind a tree?   That will destroy the averages with false info.

I would like to hear options and opinions.

Thank you

  • You may start fresh if you want...it depends on whether you want to continue building on previous scorecard data for the current clubs in your bag...or if you want to start tracking the average and max distances from scratch.

Personally, I start tracking over when I get new club or club(s) but it depends on what you feel is best for tracking your clubs going forward. You can retire your current set to keep the clubs referenceable on your account as well. Users may also want to start tracking over if they have made improvements to their swing or game improvement. etc.

In regards to your questions about rescue shots, this is addressed on the Garmin Support page linked here: Correcting Golf Club Stats in the Garmin Golf App and Garmin Connect

The article above states: "Garmin uses a proprietary calculation to achieve accurate club averages. We utilize a percentile system which allows us to more closely estimate the average distance for different clubs in your bag. Our calculation does automatically remove erroneous shot data with certain clubs such as half shots and misreads from the watch or Approach® CT10 sensors."
