S70 OLED Burn-In Problem?

Hello everyone,

I've had the Garmin S70 for six months now, and since the last update, I've noticed some strange reflections on the display while golfing.

For example, distance numbers and times were still slightly visible in the display on the green view

I have now created a white watch face to test, and this is the result.

What can be done about this?

    AMOLED display types may exhibit "Image Persistence" if a static image is displayed for extended periods of time. Users should be aware of the following settings use of the display:

    • Display Timeout, this setting affects how long the display will stay on before shutting off. 
    • Wrist Gesture: Lifting of the wrist initiating the display back on. 
    • Display always on setting. 

    The frequency of how long the timeout, and gesture will affect how often and long static images are continuously displayed on the screen. 

    In this instance, we recommend contacting the Garmin Support office in your region to discuss further solutions going forward for the issue.
