Hole by hole analysis not displaying

Hello everyone, is anyone else having problems with their scorecards displaying on the Garmin Golf app? I can see the scorecard showing me the number of shots and points scored etc but I’m not seeing the hole by hole analysis showing me where the ball went, club used, distance etc. 

i changed nothing on my watch or the app, this has just started happening, although I think my watch Approach S70 did an update last week. Any issues reported with the software update? This is very frustrating, can anyone please help? Thank you.  

  • Directly on the watch, open Settings > Golf Settings > Ensure Club Prompt is enabled if you are wanting to assign clubs to shots (if not using CT-10 sensors). 

    Ensure you are wearing the watch on your lead wrist (left hand if using right-handed clubs...or right hand if using left-handed clubs) > Then confirm in Settings > User Profile > Confirm "Wrist" setting is set to the lead wrist the watch is being worn on. 

    If you recently attached a different band or a 3rd party band to the watch...check the fit and confirm the connection type is compatible with the watch (QuickFit 22). 

    After confirming the above info, if you still have concerns contact Garmin Support to discuss the concern with a golf specialist to further determine what could be causing the issue. 

    1. Thank you for your response, I have checked all those settings and they are all correct. The watch did an automatic update sometime in the last week and I think it is after that update the hole by hole analysis stopped appearing. Do we know if there was any reported issue with the last software update? Thanks
  • The last update to the software version for the S70 is version 17.28 released a little back in July 2024. There was not any other recent updates specific to the Approach S70 that were released since then.

  • This also happened to me on my last round. I had to sync my watch to my PC (via USB) for the data to populate.
