S70 says "cannot verify membership"

It says this and won't load green contours when I start a new round one day after the 30 trial for the subscription ended even though I have paid for a year through apple. It does display contours on my phone so it seems the watch hasn't been told I have a subscription. Tried turnin the watch on and off and exiting the app. Nada

    Check and make sure that you have the most current version of the Garmin Golf app installed to your iPhone. Open the App Store > Search "Garmin Golf" then on the download page, select the option to update if the "Update" option is showing vs the "Open" option. 

    If you are seeing the "Open" option is showing, open the Garmin Golf app on your phone > Tap the More tab on the lower right section of the opening page in the app > Scroll down the menu and select the Settings option > Then scroll down and reference the App Info section. Confirm the "Version" is showing 2.17 (current as of February 2024). If the version is not showing 2.17, then we would recommend uninstalling/reinstalling the app > Install the latest version of iOS from Apple to your iPhone. 

  • No option to update app.  Shows version 2.17.0.11  Green contours do show in the app just not on the S70 which says "can't verify membership" after I select the tees to start the round. the app's not the problem it's the watch.

  • It's working now without making any updates.  Said "green contour data now available open golf app to download."  Opened the app and apparently it synced.   Delay in Apple verifying the subscription start today after the 30 day trial expired maybe?

  • The about section on the watch shows a section where the watch will give a membership status, and based on what you mentioned...that section on the watch should now show current. If you see the, "Cannot verify membership" alert again, double check the membership status showing in the About section of the watch. 

    Another potential is the time system setting on the watch. Check and make sure the Settings > System > Time section shows time source as Auto > Then sync time with GPS if the concern occurs again.
