So I also have to have Garmin Connect app to get phone notifications???

I have Garmin Golf App on my phone but I do not get text or app notifications to the watch unless the Garmin Connect App is also installed...however the Golf App has options to turn these on or off...so I am confused..do I need both to get these notifications?

The Garmin Connect mobile app is not required to get notifications. The Approach S70 is paired and synced entirely through the Garmin Golf app, so the notifications settings for this watch are managed…

The Garmin Connect mobile app is not required to get notifications. The Approach S70 is paired and synced entirely through the Garmin Golf app, so the notifications settings for this watch are managed through the Garmin Golf app and the smartphone preferences for notifications per the type of smartphone you have.

For my s70 if I do not have the connect app it will not send notifications. I have all notifications set to on in the Golf App settings and on my phone settings

I redownloaded the Golf App to get it to work, must of had some type of permissions off.
