New User: Display Off Not Working Correctly

I set the Display to Off mode which should make it so the watch display doesnt turn on until I tap the button, then cover it with my hand to turn it back off. Turning it off works as it should, but I notice the display will turn on without me touching it just at random times it seems like. Does anyone have experience with this or know what may be the issue??

After a factory reset, you must delete the Bluetooth connection in your smartphone settings, and then a new pairing connection must be established through the Garmin Golf app.

Did a factory reset and it seems to fix the issue for now. Did seem to have phone to watch connection issues after that that I "think" I worked out. Notifications to the watch seemed to be hit or miss.
