S70 slow when tapping map on 14.36

My s70 was working great until the latest upgrade, 14.36.

Now when I play and tap the map to scroll around, the screen gets black for several seconds before the map loads and lets me scroll around/zoom in and out. Sometimes up to 10 seconds!

Is this a known issue? Anyone else experienced this?

    Make sure the maps are up to date on the watch to ensure they are on the most current version. You can check them using a wifi connection to update, or through a corded connection using Garmin Express on a home computer. 

    Also ensure storage space is not getting full on the watch from music or Connect iQ Store downloads. That can also slow down the watch a little bit as well. 

    When zooming in on the hole map, the watch must render the map on the screen, which loads in sections as you scroll through different sections of the hole view.

    Everything is up to date at 14.36

    All maps are up to date.

    11.8 Gb available space.

    its not the zooming or moving around on the map that is the issue, it's the amount of time it takes before i can even do so.

    When playing a hole, and taping on the map on the right side of the screen, the screen gets black before the map actually loads in. The watch can stay in that state for up to 10 seconds before it actually loads the map and lets me interact. In this state the screen is black with only the scroll indicator visible on the right side and the up/down arrow on the bottom.

    I have the same issue with my S70, were you able to resolve?

    This concern should be resolved as long as you have updating your golf course mapping to the most current versions available...along with making sure your device software is updated to the most current version offered for the S70 which is version (16.55 as of end of March 2024).
