Manual shot entry

Hi,

Cannot find a way to manually record a shot, played two 18 holes since I received the watch and happened 2 time with long shot where I was not prompted.

And happened for every chip/putt but I read Garmin feedback on that is to buy the sensor on top of the watch...

Manual input would have solved everything, it's default in competition product.

Am I missing something ? Any plan to add that feature ?

The AutoShot feature is designed to detect all full swing shots throughout each hole during the round...the watch is not designed to detect putts or chip shots.

Manually measurement is also not designed…

Manually Measuring a Shot
1. Take a shot and watch where your ball lands.
2. From the hole information screen, press .
3. Select Measure Shot.
4. Press DOWN.
5. Select Add Shot > Yes.
6. Walk or drive to your ball…

You can measure a shot as mentioned above, few extra button presses but it works, would be nice to have it do it by default with a long press on screen or something but it can be done, I have also added…

Manually Measuring a Shot

Take a shot and watch where your ball lands.
From the hole information screen, press .
Select Measure Shot.
Press DOWN.
Select Add Shot > Yes.
Walk or drive to your ball.

The AutoShot feature is designed to detect all full swing shots throughout each hole during the round...the watch is not designed to detect putts or chip shots.

Manually measurement is also not designed to track chip shots or putts. You would need to use the Stat Tracking feature to track putts after entering the score, and before transitioning to the next hole.

Only way I found to add/remove/edit shot is post game, in the Garmin Connect PC App.
Open you scorecard, select the all and you can edit all shots.

You can measure a shot as mentioned above, few extra button presses but it works, would be nice to have it do it by default with a long press on screen or something but it can be done, I have also added two clubs to my bag to use when chipping or getting out of trouble, had a third but decided not to use it…. But created a club called chip for tracking short shots without effecting distances for clubs, and another called recovery for when trying to use any club to simply get back in play. When adding the shots manually you can also select where you’re putting from on the green by manual adding a shot and selecting putter if so desired.
