S70 wrist gesture greyed out

In settings the wrist gesture is permanently greyed out and cant be turned on. For general use the screen remains black and you have to tap on it every time you want to see the time etc

Please advise

Based on your description, you have the display function turned off.

From the regular screen showing the time on the watch face, tap the middle Menu button on the side of the watch to open the main menu…

Based on your description, you have the display function turned off.

From the regular screen showing the time on the watch face, tap the middle Menu button on the side of the watch to open the main menu > Scroll down to the green icon that looks a watch outline with a side slash across the display screen > Simply tap that green watch icon to turn the icon gray, to enable regular display function back on.

Then you will have normal function for using the regular display functions with gesture and other display settings adjustable.
