Random hole jump

Watch is great except for one thing. The watch regularly jumps to a random hole while playing. All I can think of is that I cross my arms regularly while waiting for the fairway to clear. The pressure of my arm on the watch must trigger the function and then it moves wherever.

This has been asked before but no solution.

Any way to disable this feature?

  • Typically if the watch transitions unexpectedly it is due to the course layout for the club you are playing at. If the watch comes in proximity close enough to the furthest tee box back on another hole, it may transition due to the GPS location on the course. In this instance, manually transitioning the watch back to your current hole is the solution for the change in hole.

Otherwise, if the outer edge of the touchscreen is prompted just right...the watch may move to another hole. One solution if you feel the touchscreen is being activated resulting in the hole changing, you can enable the lock screen function from the setting menu to disable the touchscreen until a button is held to unlock the touchscreen functions during the round.

  • Thank you for these ideas. I don't think the first item apllies since this has happened in middles of fairways far from other tees.

I will try the second suggestion to see how this works. But I think that will require a lot of extra touches to use many of the features of the watch.

This hole changing feature is cute but not necessary since the watch already has auto-advance and a menu option to change hole. I dont see anyone really needing this while playing a round. Would be best to get rid of it or have a setting to enable/disable it. IMHO
