S62 golf rounds missing in Connect on new S62, while running activities are recorded correctly.

I upgraded my old X40 to and S62 just 10 days ago and have a version of the "not saving golf rounds..." problem that I see has had almost 4,000 views here. I have played three rounds with it so far and also use it for other activities.

For example, I went for a run yesterday morning, then played 9 holes of golf yesterday afternoon. The run appears correctly on the activities list in Connect with the map, distance, heart rate data and suchlike on my iMac. The golf round is missing. Recording of golf rounds is set to on in on the S62. I saved the round after playing, just like I used to do on the X40. I did not select scoring, which I also never selected on the X40. The X40 rounds are there on the Connect website, but the S62 rounds are not. I am interested in stats like heart rate and distance walked when I play, even if I am not recording the scores. Like others, I have noted that Golf is missing from the list of activities in Connect on my iPhone, but since that had no effect on the transfer of X40 rounds, that can't be the issue. Everyone else who has reported this type of issue in this forum has said that resetting the watch makes no difference, so I have not done that. Note that I have been synching the watch via USB to my iMac.

Ideas welcome.

  • I was on the course again today. This time I turned score keeping on. The round does then appear in Connect correctly. I just find it a shame that the exercise data does not appear unless I note the score. The golf scores and the exercise data do of course appear as two separate activities. I would appreciate it if you could enable the old X49 functionality whereby the exercise data appears even if I don't note the scores.
