Garmin Golf deleting inaccurate shots

I notice that this issue has been closed but still not fixed. There is some inaccurate data in my bag stats.  Putter distance 200 meters and drives of 500 meters nearly every club has inaccuracies.  As suggested earlier could last 100 shots be shown in bag so these incorrect shots can be deleted.  Other sensors I have used have this feature put in.  I have invested 1800 dollars with Garmin for watch and ct 10 sensors.  I love the watch and sensors pick up all the shots other than tap in putts.  It is so frustrating that the Garmin Golf app is so limited in functionality and glitches such as removing shots have been requested now for 4 years.  Could you please advise if this simple feature can be added to my bag.  Or advise of a way of deleted inaccurate shots other than going through hundreds of rounds to locate the incorrect shot.  The distance data option should have last 100 shots and all time.  The last 100 shots useful as weather changes and course conditions change.  This would allow more useful data.  Please advise when this will be considered.  No use spending huge amount of time improving Golf watches when the Garmin Golf app needs an update.  Especially now a subscription is offered

  • Garmin is still reviewing and tracking user feedback for those wanting updates to the editing options available for corrections to club distances.

At this time, the methods outlined on the Editing AutoShot Information With the Garmin Golf App Garmin Support article are available to make the corrections.

As any further announcements regarding this request become available, Garmin will notify user accounts tied to this request and I will update relevant posts here in forums if any further information or changes become available.

  • Thanks Cody the watch changing score isn’t an issue.  It is the distance in the historical my bag information.  I have a drive measuring 440 metres.   I can’t delete this as I don’t know which round it’s from.  Nearly every club has these inaccuracies.  Get your techs to look at Golf Shot or Arccos they have a simple system to identify and delete incorrect yardages.  Arccos and golf shot both average shots over last 100 shots with each club.  You can easily get rid of chip shots or recovery hybrid hits out of rough ect.  This helps with virtual caddie information for club selection.  I absolutely love my Garmin S62 watch.  Sadly Garmin golf app on phone is not even close to the standard of the two above mentioned apps.
if your a golfer wanting to look at accurate data especially driver distance improvements or testing new clubs.  Garmin is virtually useless as it is not helpful.
I note this same request has been suggested for last 4 years on various Garmin forums.   I am at a loss why the App hasn’t moved with the times to increase functionality allowing golfers to have accurate data.

    Thank you

    Paul

  • If you have reviewed all of your scorecards, and you cannot find the shot from your driver where 440 yards was recorded...then review any scorecards where there are holes not showing any shot data. If the hole on a scorecard is not selectable...but other holes during the round do contain shot data...the drive for that 440 distance may have recorded incorrectly on one of the holes where the shot data is not viewable.

If you see any scorecards showing shot data for some holes, but has other holes where shot data is not viewable on other holes...you can toggle the option to "Exclude scorecard from stats" to see if that corrects the incorrect shot data.

  • Thank you for trying to help.  Your detailed response in searching for the scorecard is the very reason for my suggestion to improve the app.  It’s 2024 all the other apps have moved with the times.  Yet Garmin is very cumbersome in getting its consumers to do all the above as a work around for an app that hasn’t been shown much love with moving with the times.  I have over 200 rounds and all the clubs have inaccurate data.  Please send my comments to your design app design team.  What is the use of investing millions in your hardware when the golf app is still so primitive.  There is absolutely no way I would subscribe to your premium app when basic flaws which customers have mentioned for over 4 years still haven’t been rectified.  My bag below.

  • As mentioned in my initial comment on this thread...the feedback you are outlining on this post has been reported, and received. Garmin is Still in the process of reviewing reports expressing they want changes to club corrections for potential future improvements to Garmin products.

There are other discussions here in forums related to what you have posted here on this thread, and at this time it is important for users to review their stats, and make edits as they upload rounds to prevent any frustrations with having to go through a bunch of scorecards to try and pinpoint which scorecard needs to be corrected.

If anything changes, users expressing this feedback with their accounts noted in the feedback on our end will be notified as any new changes or updates are released.

  • Thanks Cody your above reply has been mentioned on this forum  past 4 years.  Curious exactly how many more years will Garmin need to review and change this very simple request.  Which basically devalues there watches by a poor functioning app.  I am talking about probably 6 hours of actual work to write some new code.  I am not requesting something that isn’t fixable or anything that’s unrealistic considering nearly every other golf app has these functions.  Your above response shows the lack of connection that Garmin has with its customers.  A forum is meant to assist customers with product support along with a free product development from customer’s its customers base.   Could you please supply me with a contact at Garmin to further raise this flawed app.  Or how do I actually raise a support ticket.  Currently I feel that this app isn’t working as what is advertised by Garmin in relation to its virtual caddie.  It is dismissive after 4 years of this issue being raised and still no timeframe for a simple fix.  Cody are you a Garmin employee?

  • I am a Garmin employee and am the moderator for all golf products in Garmin Forums.

The edit options in the application...along with the suggestions I have given you will correct the concern you mentioned.

The request has been submitted to the appropriate department within Garmin, and any changes result at some point, users will be notified.

This is the current response available at this time.
