How do you change the background color of a built in watch face from black to white and the accent color to blue

There appears to be no way to customize a built in watch face either directly in the watch or via the app.

Not possible - no UI exists for the built-in watch faces apart from scrolling through and choosing one. Need to use one from the Connect IQ Store to have more options.
