Putt distances

The ability to add the first putt distance combined with the total putts would produce meaningful info about initial distance and 3 putts. I think 5 initial putt distance boxes would suffice such as: <5’,

<10’,

11’ to 20’

21’30’,

40’+

A second version could include where putt is- short, long, left, & right.
This would fill a big gap in the Garmin Golf analytics since putting is half the game

Good ideas. This stuff has come up for the last 4-5 years in this forum. Similar suggestions. I've wrote the same things regarding putting distance for 1st putt. That number is needed for SG on approach…

This would be a solid upgrade. Or even better yet you set pin location, watch tracks where you putt from and automatically estimates the distance.

So, the more I think about putt length I believe Garmin should simply add in putt length “short- medium - long” …because, when combined with the approach iron # , it will enable “shots gained or lost” by approach shot

Garmin has been saying "we will take this to our engineers/developers" for 5 years. Nothing so far.

I've seen posts from Garmin saying changes are coming to data soon. That is the first time they have ever said anything was coming. Maybe something will come from it.

Garmin-Cody how does the watch know the distances from the hole. do we have to set the hole location? For background, i have CT10 sensors on my putter.If I change the pin location, does that reflect in the putting stats with regard to how far the putts are from the hole?

The concept is simple. After completing the hole you would select one of 3 putt lengths: short, medium, long. This sets up strokes gained, metrics on approach shots by club, and one putt, two putt, etc by putt length.
